Environment and Natural Resources Discussion: Video Now Available
At the Planning Commission meeting on February 10, our commissioners discussed the Environment and Natural Resources element of Plan Central Vermont. The element discusses a wide range of issues, ranging from water quality to flood resilience to preparing for climate change. The discussion brought up several important points, such as the distribution of information between the full plan element and the appendices. There was also a lively discussion about several policies and strategies included in the element. At the end of the meeting, a draft Future Land Use map was introduced.
Staff will review all comments made at the meeting and bring the Environment and Natural Resources element to the commission again at the March 10 meeting. The commission will then vote on whether to approve the element.
The video below shows a staff summary of the element, along with the commissioner’s discussion.
