Plan Central Vermont Kick-Off Luncheon

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013 CVRPC held a kick-off meeting with representatives from more than 60 organizations and municipalities to begin shaping a vision for the future of the Central Vermont region. During the breakout discussions, regional priorities were determined such as a need for flood resiliency planning and improved environmental education. From the transportation group came priorities such as expansion of bike paths and strengthened downtowns through active transportation. The notes from the breakout discussions are available in the summary.

The purpose of this meeting, held on the Vermont College of Fine Arts Campus in Montpelier, was to share the types of analyses and input CVRPC anticipates coordinating as part of the process, and to identify partner organizations that may wish to participate in and help guide Central Vermont to a more sustainable future.
